Hi
I have downloaded the latest speed cam data and loaded it into the Great_Britain_Plus-Map folder on my SD-MMCard.
I have configured it as per instructions. It is enabled in the POI list etc.
But I do not get any speed cam warnings when driving or if I Browse the map with the POI switched on. Other POIs work ie Fuel stations.

Any ideas?

Best regards

John

You need to make sure you do not have too many POI types enabled. Nav 5 is limited to displaying 37 different types. If you enable more than that, Nav 5 seems to abitrarily choose which to display (I don't think anyone's determined the rules that apply). You don't say which, but if you've downloaded the separate speed-zoned cameras (the most useful in my opinion), you'll find you've used up a lot of POI capacity already.

Try reducing the number of POIs displayed - hopefully you'll see the speed cameras appear and you'll know there's nothing more sinister that's wrong. You can then choose which POIs are the most important, and possibly download the single file speed camera POI (which uses only 1 of the 37 'slots' available).

Do let us know if that helps - your experiences help inform everyone.

Good luck!

John, Enabling the POI's is one thing but to get a warning you need to go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI and set up a warning for each camera, note if you have checked the "Warn only if POI on route" box, then you will only get a warning IF you have a route planned.
If you want to get warnings without a route selected then simply de-select the Warn only if POI on route box, but you will need to do this for each camera
Bedbugs post is also relevant, make sure you don't have more than 39 custom POI's loaded, these will be found in the map folder and have a file extension of .ov2 - Mike

Thanks for your ideas.
I have solved the problem.
I seem to have two sd folder on my PDA, dont know why.
I copied and pasted the files into both folders and it seems to work.

Cheers

John
