If the OGG Files are present, they are chosen automatically because of the naming. You don't see them.

Lets check a couple of things here first:

1/ Have you got the PGPSW speed camera database loaded to the new map folder (the version 710 map)

2/ Have you got the 710 map set as the active map, check this by tapping the sat strength meter followed by the version box on the next screen, if its not the 710 map use Change Preferences/ Map Preferences/ Switch Map to select the 710 map.

3/ In the 710 map folder have you got a full set of ogg files?

Once the above is done go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI and select the first PGPSW speed camera in the list, configure the warnings, when you get the four option screen to select the type of warning, make sure you select Sound Effect, then answer Yes to the next question - Mike

He won't have that Mike, as the 700 doesn't have TTS. Wink

They certainly do. Do you know how to download and apply them.

not reall i dont think,
i tried with my nav 6 but can't get it to work, for eg i have a poi named Zoo sub,United Kingdom.ov2 so i created a ogg file name exactly the same but with .ogg but i still get the bells etc option come up when choosing the alert sound.
also do the ogg files only work with this sites safety cameras do they work with the tom tom safety cameras also?
cheers

They only work with the PGPS speed cameras as the name is the same as the cameras but with .ogg at the end. There is also a set made up to go with some of the POI's on this site also. Have a look here and see how you get on.

Edit MikeB to fix link

Is it an ogg file that the TT can use? There is only only one ogg format that it can handle.

Can you go through how you created, and named, the File? It might give us a clue.

ive tried two ways,i created a message with the text to speech link, saved it then converted it to ogg using the switch convertor program, copied and pasted into my map folder and renamed it to match my poi but put .ogg on the end.

for eg my zoo poi says zoo sub, united kingdom .ov2 so i renamed ogg file to match eg zoo sub, united kingdom .ogg

i tried the ones from this site to go with the pois from this site but my pois are nearly all named like my zoo poi with the wording sub, united kingdom not a straight zoo.ov2

the one for tesco did work my poi says tesco.ov2 and the voice file from here says tesco.ogg so i put it straight into my map folder and that did work.

When you download POIs.zip, do you Unzip the contents to your Hard Drive? When I do I get zoo.ov2 and zoo.bmp. Confused

If you convert an audio file to an ogg file it will usually add the ogg extension. You don't need to.

Unless you can see the File extensions in Explorer, be very careful about adding more. e.g. zoo.ogg.ogg, because it won't work.
