Now here is an idea - use tourguide to load an image with a POI on approach and display a datamatrix barcode - this could be linked to the AA web page so you point your camera phone at it and an app like Semacode (with your AA username and password prestored) brings you up the full guide info

The pubs are listed pre loaded in the i3 under food entertainment-bars then it pots luck which pubs are in it and which are not...........................

OK look there's an easy way to do this. I read your post this morning and im sure it rang a bell that there was a website somewhere that would let you download any poi's of any companies in the UK.

It took me a while to find it again.

Anyway its: http://www.poidownload.co.uk/

Choose a category, in your case its public houses, pubs and inns. Then click Generate POI's.

You will then be prompted to save the file it gives you, which you can convert to Garmin format using PoiEdit.

Ive never used this before, just remembered it existed, so dont blame me for inaccuries or whatever, and it will probably contain duplicates of what your Garmin has preinstalled as well.
