Hi everyone

i was hoping if neone can help me out here... i just got a brand new
blackberry pearl 8100 and want to use GPS in it. but seems like blackberry isnt that popular or i just cant find alot of info about it.

i was wondering if Holux GPS 236 or 240 will be compatible with my
Blackberry. and that what software do i need to operate it?

i really like the 240 but if its not compatible with my fone... then theres no use for it.

thankx and cheers!

the Bluetooth GPS receivers are all "compatible". It's another question if you will find a decent GPS app for the Blackberry. You don't see many of these because the Blackberries are rather "closed" systems. Pocket PCs have wide open specs, and every hobbyist can write programs for them. To write programs for Blackberries you need to invest serious cash.

I am very happy with my trusty GPSlim 236, and am now in the market for a second device (the wife has taken the 236 Smile )

I like the look of the 240, but apart from the small size and lower battery life are there any major differences? Is there anything that the 240 can't do that the 236 can?

It's slightly less sensitive, but still very adequate.

Methinks you you should get the 240, casually show it to your wife, and then re-take posession of the 236.
