Have to give these a chuck up! Got a Navman iCS720 from them. Only ordered it about 1500 and delivered at 0900 the next day. To cap that, it was £50 cheaper than Halfords and almost £100 cheaper than Argos.
Beat that!

They are great at delivering but you try and return any items to them.
50p/min tech support.
I am unable to get a full refund for my waste of space that is a Quest2
as i have been contacting garmin direct and have not contacted them untill 4 months in.
They sem to accept that the item is useless but will not give a full refund.
have even informed them i wish to also buy a Nuvi610 (which i do) but am waiting to see what there customer support is like but they are refusinmg to give full refund.
Avoid like the plague not impressed once they have your money they are not interested unless you are prepatred to pay 50/min for your tech support or wanna play e-mail tennis and take weeks to solve an issue.

Returned a Mio P550 and MioMap 2.2 as not fit for purpose. Full refund (-postage) as soon as they received it back.

Got it mid Dec. Found the power switch problem (switching on a and staying on with MioMap loaded) pretty much straight away. Had issues with not being able to minimise MioMap to enable other apps to run in the background as a PPC should do. Contacted PGPSW before Xmas. Returned for refund just after Xmas.
Have subsquently bought a dedicated Nav device, the Mio C710 and stucking to my Mio 168 as a PDA.

Hope this helps.

PostPosted: Sun Apr 22, 2007 4:14 pm    Post subject: My purchase experience with them Reply with quote

I have a job which entails a journey from the north of England to central France and wanted a 'plug in' GPS to offload the 'trying to read a map and drive safely' deal.

I shopped around on the internet and decided I wanted Garmin as I have an eTrex Vista handheld which I've had for several years.

I settled on the Nuvi 350 which has Mapsource Europe at version 9.

I was cynical when I ordered from this company as I was not sure that they could really supply this item for the price mentioned but was confident that I could recover my funds via my credit card.

The company not only supplied the goods immediately, the Nuvi arrived when they said it would, in perfect condition. The item is better than I thought it would be (especially as I've found - on this site, a method of running it through my car stereo).

So, based upon my experience, they are excellent value for money and do exactly what they say they will, they are significantly better than the likes of Halfords, Amazon et al who are happy to relieve you of literally hundreds of pounds more for the same item.

Thanks a bunch guys. I AM impressed and my cynicism was mis-placed.

Hello Richyp,

It was interesting to come across your posting here today.

I sent you an email on Friday 11th May (a response to an email you'd sent us) but as yet I haven't had a reply from you.

I look forward to getting a reply from you so I can try and help.

Having experienced your kind of customer service the question was probably a delaying tactic to try and avoid having to get the problem sorted

Traffic reception in the central belt of Scotland and hurray NW England seems to be working again. Still a million times better than the Quest 2 it replaces

Ordered my Nuvi 660 in May & got it 2 days later. I overloaded it with the 257 files problem (which Garmin keep very quiet about), but is documented at length on this Forum I found out later. GPS replaced it within 2 days. Fantastic service. Did have to use their premium rate phone line, but only took 2 mins to confirm problem & get returns number for replacement. 10/10 to GPS, Garmin were useless & won't admit a problem, so use a supplier with a good returns policy when buying Garmin kit.
