RODTROTTER
Excuse my ignorance, but how do I run the update when it does not appear to have loaded , Can I download it without the web updater ?
If I can download it what program do I use to run it ?
Is everything stored in the memory card ? if so could I copy data from another i3 then transfer to this card
Thanks for replying |

You should be able to download the program from Garmin. Then double click to run, and it should install. I had a loading problem once, Garmin told me to always use a motherboard USB port, not a USB hub port on the front of the PC.
Good luck |

The i3 downloads page is the place to go:
Here
Download the 'Unit Software' executable; double-click and hey-presto (hopefully). _________________ Garmin i3 gone (sold on eBay)

Downloaded program into PC no problem
transferred into Garmin no problem
But screen now says "Please use the provided PC software to load maps containing turn-by-turn route information.
Any Ideas as the disc that came with the unit I think only had drivers etc. |

now we know that the card seems to be at fault...as suggested before try and reload the firmware onto the dodgy card..try this a few times ...if this does not work ,you could have somehow messed the card up....if this is the case then a call to garmin should help.. _________________ *************************** |

Spoke to Garmin and they confirm that there appears to be a problem with the card, Sending unit and card back to Garmin.
