|
|
I got a free GPS Bluetooth Unit with my PocketPC.
I want to use it for very basic GPS usage like getting my position, using it as a compass and direct line navigation to waypoints.
A friend of mine owns a unit that does just this:
http://www.garmin.com/products/etrex/screen.html
Thats basically all i want/need, but when i search for GPS software all i can find is $600 software that contains voices, maps, red light cameras and all that junk.
Surely there must be a simple software package to do this for no or little cost?
Please Help!
Thanks,
Mitch |

Thanks for your help.
Following your link i found this,
http://www.jgui.net/gps/followme/index.html
It looks the most suitable for what i need, but im just curious if anyone has any feedback on this product or any other ideas?
It also looks like you can not store and direct to waypoints, and thats something i require.

I used Follow Me in the Canaries last year and it is very simple to use as no map images and calibration are needed which means you can use it any where in the world without carrying lots of map images around.
