Map alternatives for US

Hi,
I visit US now and then and would like to have a seamless (not state by state) map with highest level of details enabling me to go from door to door.

Are there any alternatives of maps?
If yes, what are the differences?
Answer need not be restricted to compatibility with my present (5.21 version) of Tomtom as I am considering upgrade to TT6 (I have read on this forum that HX4700 is running perfectly OK with TT6 provided OS is 2003 SE)

Advice would be highly appreciated.

TomTom offer a seamless map of USA and Canada - which will do what you want. They are quoting Euro 99.95 for this on their site . I believe you need V6 for this - but it's not clear on their site.

They also do regions of the US (several states) so if it's a limited area you want - this may be more cost effective. They are about Euro 60 each so the whole USA/Canada is not bad value.

You can only use TomTom maps with TomTom s/w.
