Hi I've recently bought one of these and downloaded and installed the camera database. Not sure if this is how it all pans out but this is what I'm getting and some questions.
At around 400 yards from a camera I get a "bing bing" the banner at the top reads R, G, or M and the speed limit, then a number which I take to be the database number for that camera. I'm assuming R=red light camera, G=Gatso speed camera, and M=a known area for mobile speed cameras. Can someone correct me if this info is not right.
The only further warning I would get is if I stop within the 400 yards then it will "bing bing" again when I start moving. I don't see the cameras on the map. In fact I do not see any POIs on the map; I did just after loading the camera database but I also had loads of other POIs which were a nuisance so I've somehow managed to hide them all.
So onto my questions;
Can I somehow just show the camera locations without all the other POIs?
Is there anyway to set a further alarm at say 100 yards to "bing bing bing" or something like that.
As the database warns me of the speed for each camera, can it be configured to warn me if I'm over that speed?
I'm very new to all this so any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Dave

Don't know what you've done to hide the POI's, so can't advise on the solution.

With regard to camera warnings, these can be customised to warn you at whatever distance you wish by using either of two utilities made available by members on here; CBROM and ASH10. The link to download these utilities can be found amongst the sticky threads in the Nuvi forum. As a default the unit should 'Bing Bing' as you approach a camera, reminding you what the speed limit is (assuming you over or not less than 5mph below the speed limit). It should then give you a series of continuous 'bings' as you get nearer to the camera all the time you are exceeding the speed limit.
