Hi

Took delivery of a new ICN 530 recently. It worked a treat and I'm very pleased with it.

However, as usual with any new piece of hardware I checked for any relevant software updates, and downloaded an update patch from the Navman site the other night.

I used the unit for the first time today since updating the software, and bingo, both the language and voice command functions seem to have been completely disabled.

I've mailed Navan's tech support about this, but I wondered if anyone on here had experienced a similar issue?

I didn't have the same problem, but 2weeks ago I had a question for the NavMan support team and I emailed them twice and I received a nice automatic reply and that was it, I never got an answer from them. In the end I found the answer in this forum.

and I am still very happy with the iCN530.

Thanks very much.

I had a feeling I hadn't done anything drastic myself, but the heads up was a relief.

I found the volume level of the voice commands not too bad on first use, but as this is my first sat nav unit, I don't have much in the way of a reference to compare it with to be honest.

Anyway, working fine now, thanks again.

I had the same problem where I lost all the sound files and I was about to 'throw it out the window' until I found your posting.... thanks very very much.
