Newbie needs help

Just signed up

I have just brought a used Garmin 60CS and it was working fine with City select Europe V7 on there when i brought it. my friend has got CS8 so i thought i could update my map for free but it seems i cant so now when i start the unit i keep getting map cannot be unlocked. all i want to know is how i can delete the map CV8 back off there and keep the CV7. if i click enter to this message it goes away and i can continue as normal but its annoying that i have to keep pressing enter each time i start the unit up. so does anyone know of a program that can delete single maps off the unit or reverse what i have done?
