I have an HP hx2495 using an HP iPAQ Bluetooth Navigation System along with NavTeq software version 1.2.2710NA. The system is working correctly with one minor exception.

I can create routes and travel along those routes and my position on the map looks correct as I approach turns or intersections. This is also true when in a fixed position here at home, the position indicator looks correct in relation to the street and cross streets. It also indicates the name of the streets correctly both fixed here at home or mobile.

The problem I have is when viewing the GPS info screen the coordinates are incorrect. I have 3 other GPS receivers and that all show my position here at home as: N35 15.618
W81 33.926

Navteq shows: N35 26.023
W81 56.550
This position is roughly 25 miles to the west of my location.

One other note that I might add: Using the same setup and running Delorme Street Atlas Handheld, the coordinates show correctly.

I called HP Navigation support and was told they didn't know why and as long as my position indication on the map was correct, I shouldn't worry about it. They also said that the NavTeq software was for street and highway routing and as long as that was correct, what was my problem.

Even though the routing and position on the map is correct, I still want the cordinates to be shown correctly. I plan to use the PDA and Bluetooth for geocaching and the correct coordinates are very important.

Anyone have an idea how to correct this problem. I can find no option on the software to make the coordinates show correctly.

Thanks,
Dale
