New Version D3

Can anyone tell me when the new version is coming out. I e-mailed the company and they have not responded. I use my D2 all the time and I am interested in the new features D3 will offer beofre looking at other products like Tom Tom or Co-pilot.

Well if you're looking for something now, you'll have a bit of a wait before you find out what the features are. You could wait, but you may be waiting a month or more.

Would you recommend looking at the other products or waiting?

It's entirely up to you. Most street navigation products are updated every 12 months, and we reviewed D2 back around Christmas 2002.

I asked them a few months ago when I had a problem with PPC2003 - they said D3 would be out the last quarter of 2003, but would not allude to any new features.

I am sticking with D2 and will upgrade to D3 if I feel it necessary, if nothing else perhaps a single map will cover the country and one will be able to upload your own POI.
