I own a tomtom go 700.
I would love to plan an itinerary (essentially selecting a series of viapoints) on my pc and then download it on my tomtom.
Ideally I'd like to find pc software that uses the same maps I have on my tomtom. As a fallback I'd use autoroute express for selecting a series of viapoints and then convert it into a tomtom iteinerary file.

Thanks for the google earth link.

I found out that TomTom will release TomTom HOME to enable planning at home. http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&query=tomtom+home&FID=4274

In the meanwhile, as I own an old MS AutorouteExpress 2004 copy I found a converter from axe files to itn files.
It's the POIConverter v3 tool found at :
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=22&min=10&orderby=titleA&show=10

So the waypoints for an itinerary created with AutoRouteExpress can be converted in an itinerary for the TomTom . not bad, although TomTom HOME is the thing I am looking forward to.
Any other tools ?
