Hi

I've been an 'Ipaq Man' for several years but I am a bit taken with the much vaunted O2 XDA 11 PDA. O2 seem to have stolen a march on the competition with this unit. Apart from the obvious features such as built-in phone and camera (the camera would have to be lot beter than those I've seen on other PDAs' before it would be of serious use) it has some small but very acceptable extras, such as a button keylock.

Does anyone know if it is fully compatible with GPS systems such as Tom Tom, and Bluetooth GPS. Are there any glaring deficiencies, are car chargers/piggy-back leads (in fact all the extras that make the Ipaq so usable for in car navigation) available?

Any info on this will be much appreciated
Ted

I'm not sure what OS the XDA II is running, but I would presume either the current Pocket PC Phone Edition, or a newer re-vamped edition based around Windows Mobile 2003 (or perhaps even using WM2003 ?).

If that's the case, then you won't have any problems using TomTom etc. The only issue as always is the amount of storage slots you have. If you want to use a cabled mouse setup, not a problem. I think the XDA II still only has one SD slot doesn't it ?

The XDAII runs WM2003 and has Bluetooth so should work just fine with TTNav.

Has WM2003 converged both Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone edition OS's into one ?

No, as with previous versions it is a superset of the PocketPC OS. It will in fact be called "Pocket PC Phone Edition 2003"
