I'm a new user to this frum and to GPS and need some help please.

Just bought an ICN520 and have tried to download the UK Camera Database from pocketgpsworld. Having done so, there is no sign of the quoted .csv file. The only files that unzip are
.txt
.htm
.bmp
.asc

Can anyone offer further guidance please.

Regards
Mike Schofield

Navman now use .asc files. Easier to use, no editing of the .csv file required etc.

From Navman's Support Pages:

NOTE You need SmartST V3.0 or higher to be able to import POIs.

This is quite simple: You just need to download the POI database, and import it into your Navman. Sounds easy? Well it is. Follow me:

1. Download the Safety Camera Database
2. Once the file has been downloaded, extract the contents in a folder that you will be able to retrieve
3. The file that you would mostly need is the one called PocketGPS_UK_GATSO.
4. Now you can start SmartST Desktop on your computer, when synchronized, click on Map > POI.
5. Click on File > Open text file and choose the safety camera file that we need (pocketgps_uk_gatso.asc)
6. Click on File > Save to Device, then enter the desired settings. The most commonly used settings are:
1. Active: Ticked
2. Visual Alert: Ticked
3. Audio Alert: Ticked
4. Units: Depends what you understand the best :o)
5. Distance: 1500ft / 500m
6. POI Visibility Level: 3/4 towards the right

7. Click on the [...] button and choose the picture called "pocketgps_uk_gatso.bmp" in the "ov2 bmp files" folder
8. When prompted, enter "GATSO" or "SPEEDCAM" as a name (following your preference)
9. Follow the instructions on the screen et voilą.
