Hi -

I've just installed Anquet 6.0.6 and am pleased with it on PC.

I have 2 issues though which I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction with...

1) "GPS - Configure..." doesn't. It fails to find the device on USB (though "Pocket Anquet - Install Pocket Anquet" does place files on the handheld)

2) "Pocket Anquet - Install Pocket Anquet - To PocketPC" does install something, althogh nothing happens when I try to start it. Also the .NET framework install doesn't go so well with the handheld claiming it it at the wrong level to support this.

All new to me, so any help much appreciated.

Cheers,

Matt.

You need Net Framework 2.0 from Microsoft site. Will not run without it.

Apologies if this is deviates away from Anquet subject. I've tried uninstalling, and resetting the unit but still get install failures on the .NET Framework 2.0. Fine from the PC side - the 570 reports the version is not compatible with the device. Any tips to get this installed/Anquet running?

Matt - I bought my NavMan PiN 570 just a few weeks ago and have exactly the same problem that you mention. Seems to be an issue with getting MS .NET Compact Framework installed.

NavMan Tech Support told me to speak with Anquet.
Anquet Tech Support told me to speak with NavMan.

Result - One very unhappy customer regretting having bought the PiN 570.

Did you ever get a fix for this yet ?

George

If your problems are not resolved, why not have a look at the Mio website
http://www.mio-tech.be/support/support_168.php
It is possible there may be an answer there to your problem or if not you could ask for help from their support?

I have what sounds like the same problem on a Dell X5.

V6 works fine on PC but on trying to install on X5 it tells me it needs Microsoft Compact Framework V2, which is supplied on the V6 distribution disk. I try and install that and it fails with a message on the PC saying 'Microsoft ' NET CF does not support the connected device type' .

The Dell is connected via USB/Activesync 3.7 and is running PocketPC 2003.

Anyone resolved theirs yet?

Roy

Late reply - just for completeness!

.NET CFV2 only runs on 2003SE and WM5 I believe. I used to have an iPaq 3660 that ran pocketAnquet 6.0.0 and 6.0.1. Then, in order to add functionality, they made .NET V2 mandatory - and that stopped the lowly 3660 as it was PPC 2002.

I bought a DEL Axim with WM5 and it runs a charm.

Check you are using the right .NET V2 - there is one install for the PC and another for the PPC. Also - it is usually necessary to de-install Pocket Anquet before doing the upgrade install from the PC - I don't know what the issue is - but I usually have to go through this process each time.
