SD card/3970

I have just bought a new sd card for my 3970 inserted it and I get the message SD detect error on 4 bit.

If this was not bad enough I tried my old card and this has the same error.

I looked on the Ipaq site who suggested a cold start, this I tried but no good

Sounds like hardware failure - possibly the connector broke when you ejected your old card, though possibly it's an electronic failure. As you've tried a hard reset, I don't think there's any more you can do yourself.



Contact HP support on 0870 559 2000 - they arranged for my 3970 to be fixed when the speaker failed (they select a repairer, you have to box the iPAQ - they send UPS to collect it, then return it via UPS when it's repaired). I was without the 3970 for less than a week, total.
