I have a T Mobile MDA Vario (Kjam/wizard/9100) running WM5 and TTN 5.2 flawlessly. However I cannot use my old Florida map with this setup and so I need to run TTN 5.0 or buy a new map. The map will load and TTN 5.0 runs fine but the problem is matching a port for the BT GPS receiver. The only two ports that show on the Vario are ports 6 and 7. These are not offered in the TTN 5.0 GPS config. So my question is, is there a way to open ports say 2 or 9 on the Vario.
Hoping to get this sorted before a Harley trip to the Keys in March.

Try this link for information http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=29606 It contains instructions how to activate the GPS applet on the unit, (this assumes you can't get at it now), once activated you should be able to use that to manipulate the GPS port for the software - Mike

Thanks for the reply mike.

I tried this but I can only get as far as:

"Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings
Delete the DWORD marked "hide"
Add a DWORD called "Group" and give it the value of "2" (dec)
The GPS panel will now show up in your connection settings. "

All I can see within this folder is a "ab" file called "redirect"
If I tap it I am asked to input a new value.

Although I consider myself PC fluent I have not tampered much with registry editing due to the potential consequences. I have no understanding of the term "DWORD".

Could you please "dummy" me through it.
Thanks.
