wm5 and pocket navigator incompatibility

I own a HTC universal (I-mate Jasjar etc) with a WM5. I have installed the space machine pocket navigator and downloaded the maps through card reader after failure to load maps directly. with each opening of the application I get 2x message reading 'error; could not balance memory' but the program seems to work fine as it accesses the maps. In addition, and most importantly I cannot connect the program to my BT-338 reciever. The WM5 only allows comports 4 and 8 for the BT-338 to connect but the program only allows 1,2,3,6,7,9. I was wondering if any one else has this problems and if any solutions exist for this, any help will be appreciated. thanks
