Has anyone got an iPAQ 2210 and using Check point? If so does it run OK without any problems. I have been using GPS Assist, but found it has too many problems.

Yes it works okay on a 2210, this is what I'm currently using when I use TomTom Navigator 2. You'll probably find v2.0.2 better than v3, as this is what many people are finding and reporting here. v2.0.2 isn't available from the CheckPOInt website anymore, but we have a copy on our Downloads page.

Not on mine it isn't. (PPC2003)

I have installed it but can get no further than the disclaimer page. There is no way to accept the disclaimer and I can't go anywhere else until I have.

Any ideas please?

ack well at least u can get to a disclaimer page!!!
i too the advice and did not install 3.2 at first. i tried the prev vers and this did not work so uninstalled. i intalled 3.2 and nothing works at all for this when tapping the icon. it is also proving more or less impossible to uninstall the program (certainly the icon for it seems positively glued onto the programmes screen!). i am dying to get speed camera warnings working - any advice would be a delight

The only thought I have is that you've somehow picked up some garbage in the registry that is causing the problems.

I'm still using 2.0.2 on Pocket PC 2003 - it's the only version I've ever installed on my iPAQ 3970 since I upgraded the OS. It works fine for me, once you get past the slightly unintuitive configuration method (tap the flashing icon at the bottom of the Today screen when you first run the program).

This is a strictly untested suggestion, and I do not guarantee anything (including that it will not cause more problems). I believe that CheckPOInt puts some registration information in other parts of the registry that we haven't yet found (look at my comments on the first version 3 release) and it could be the problems lie there.

However, the only thing I can think of is uninstalling CheckPOInt, then, using a registry editor, such as the one you can get here, delete the entire "CheckPOInt Software" key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software. Backup the Pocket PC before you try this, particularly if you're not confident in what you're doing - Sprite Backup is highly recommended.

Hi All

I was having a nightmare with version 3 on the 2210, running really slow, so back to the older version.

I have noticed D3 running extremely slow on MicroDrives, so I think the disk access in loading maps is much more intense than in D2 or other mapping programs. This may affect slow storage cards also.

Dave - were you confused between Destinator and CheckPOInt in your last post in this thread? It sounds like you're writing about Destinator in a CheckPOInt thread.

Having installed Checkpoint v 3 on a new Axim 5 with TTN2 I could not find how to register the software to allow the Pocket GPS database to be used. I uninstalled it and then (mistake !!) re-installed to see if I had missed a step. Now I have 2 Checkpoint icons. Uninstalling leaves the icons behind.
Can you provide a few more instructions about how the register should be edited.

Multiple program icons is nothing to do with the Registry.

Assuming you're talking about what you see in Start -> Programs, or in the Start Menu itself, you need to go into \Windows\Start Menu using either a file manager program on the Pocket PC, or the Explore function in ActiveSync (select My Pocket PC first if you try this). You should then be able to find and delete the unwanted extra program icons - they may be in subfolders of \Windows\Start Menu.
