Hi Folks

I have just purchased Garmin Streetp Pilot 13. I am trying to set time on it, but the time always shows 25 minutes less than exact time. How do I rectify this please

You can't set the time - it gets it automatically from the satellites.

If it's a brand-new unit, it probably needs to initialise itself to get first GPS lock, and hence the time.

Make sure that the timezone is set to WET (Western European Time).

Welcome

Your system has probably fixed itself by now, if it hasn't here's what to do:

Take the GPS outside and wait a few minutes. The time will be set automatically when the unit gets a satellite lock. With a satellite lock, the GPS time is accurate to about 0.0001 of a second - you don't set it manually! 8O

Because your time is off by a fair bit, it may take a little while to get a first fix. If your unit doesn't get a position fix or set it's time within a few minutes then read this post
