I have no experience of the GM 210, but I can at least advice you not to buy the GR-213. Read this thread and you'll get an idea why. It will work fine for you for a couple of weeks; after that the Time To First Fix will increase and eventually make it useless. This will at least happen if you don't get a permanent power supply.

Regards,

Ulf

My GR-213 is still working ok after 2 1/2 months of constant use & 6000 miles.

Lucky you! Confused

I guess you have it permanently hardwired to your car battery then. That makes the difference.

No, its wired to the ignition, but I may hardwire to the battery so that I have no problems whatsoever. Just need to find a permanent live feed.

Use your Radio-backup cable. Usually the yellow one.

I cant get my 213 to work with TTN5(I've got an x51v with mobile5). You guys got any ideas? GPSViewer, GPSTuner and Winfast Navigator all work fine.

Thanks. Not sure if that will be the case with my BMW as the radio dosen't work without the ignition on. I'II have a look over christmas break.

As for your GR-213 not working, try configuring it as a tom tom wired device. failing that try configuring it as another nmea device, 4800 baud.
If you have already tried this, then over to the darkside - the WM/PPC guys for help.
I seem to be the only enlightened one using Palm OS!!!!!!

The yellow backup cable is for the radio-memory. Every car has one

As for my GPS device....

I've installed navigon, it works fine. Navigon detected my receiver with automatic detection. I had a fix in no-time. It's TTN5 that's givin' problems...

Can anyone else help me??? PLEASE!!?? Rolling Eyes

Never mind, I've got it workin' baby 8)

The solution came from a nother thread. I've read about a program calls GPSGate. Downloaded it, installed it.. and it worked!! After that, I bought it :P

Now I'm very happy!!!

Nobody has said anything about the GM210. I have used one for over 2 years, and it hasn't put a foot wrong yet. Time to a cold fix seems a little longer than it used to be, but the internal battery which retains the satellite data is possibly getting a little tired now. I have just invested in a GPSlim bluetooth for the improved sensitivity that Sirf 3 brings, but the GM210 is still going strong
