Fitting a new cover to a GO 300

I've recently purchased a second hand GO 300 and because the covers were quite badly scratched the seller included a pack of replacements.

When I take the old cover off it appears the centre button is attached to the unit and can't be removed however, the new covers I have also have this centre button and no matter what I try, I cannot get the new cover attached.

Any advice?

You bought a GO Classic, not 300. The covers are for 300 though.
