Startup Procedure

Ever since I first installed TTN1 onto my Journada 54x I found that unless I connected and powered up in a certain sequence Navigator would not work as it should.



Now it seems with TTN2 every minor version upgrade requires that I work out a new startup procedure to ensure that things behave in a reliable way.



For interest my TTN1 procedure was:



* Soft reset ppc

* Power on

* Connect serial gps mouse and power connector

* Run Navigator

* Apply power to gps mouse

* Select departure and destination points

* Select naviagator mode

* Drive the route



I know this looks involved but worked evertime including a recent week long tour along the highways and byways England - we always choose shortest route as it takes us through some interesting backwaters.



btw, I have not yet standardised on a procedure for TTN2 as it seems to be inconsistant in behavour - especially it seems, since the addition of the larger buttons for our friends in the North American Colonies



I think it would be interesting to find out about other users start procudures.
