Help - TomTom 3 stopped working on a HP 4150 (GPS disabled)

Have been using Tomtom 3.01 (409/2) for a couple of years, running on an iPAQ 4150 and a fortuna clip on with no problems. However, I tried to connect yesterday and could not get it to connect, whatever I did. Bluetooth pairs correctly and says it's connected, but Tomtom just says that the GPS is disabled, and the Status page is all grayed out with no satelites showing.

I am running Tomtom GPS V3.00 402/400 with the following settings (the ones that have always worked in the past!)

NMEA 0183v2 38400
Bluetooth Serial Port COM6

The Fortuna is working fine (I can run Memory Map ok), but just to double check I removed the battery and reset it. I have also soft reset the 4150, but to no avail. Only thing I can think of that may have changed since I last used the two devices is that I was travelling and the 4150 battery went completly flat on me. I didn't lose any data from the machine though, as the back up battery is fine.

Anyone have any clues as to what to try next? Is there a better version of Tomtom GPS that I should try (that doesn't lock out any other program using the GPS)? Any other clues or pointers?
