I will be heading to the U.S. on holiday soon and was thinking about picking up the Ipaq 2215 as it is £100 less than the 2210 over here. As far as I can tell they are the same Ipaq. Does anyone know of any technical reason not to do this other than possible warranty issues? I know the AC adapter will be different and am happy with this.

Any views will be appreciated. Thanks, Ian.

Yes they are practically identical.

European consumers fair very badly all along.

AC adapter should not be a problem, as they inevitably accept 110-220 supply nowadays.

The only drawback is the warranty, but I suppose that is a chnace worth taking because of the price difference.

Moreover, they always get some sort of rebate from various manufacturers/distributors which make it cost even less.

Also, many offer return/refund within certain period (14-30 days). Many do take advantage of that and return the goods after playing with it (and this has to be sold as refurbs later). I do not know how the manufacturers can survive with a system like that. That never happens this side of the Atlantic.
