Slight Problem with BT338 and HP RX3715

I use a Bt338 with Tom Tom 5 and have no problems as it has its own bluetooth manger.

But when using memory map if bluetooth gets dropped for some reason I have to sometimes reset my Pda or turn bluetooth off and then on again to reconnect with the BT 338.

Is there a work around for this?

Do other PDA's handle bluetooth better and try and reconnect when the signal becomes valid again.

For example if I run memory map on my orange windows smartphone and it looses bluetooth range it automatically finds and reconnects when it can every time.

Sometimes the rx3715 will reconnect if the signal is lost but only a couple of times before it fails.

The reason the BT signal sometimes gets lost is because I keep the BT338 in a backpack or pocket.

Is is possible my BT 338 is faulty?

If I leave the BT GPS in a room next to the PDA it never looses signal.
