Firstly I should say how much I like Tomtom, my only gripe is the appalling filesystem it incorporates, it just sticks files and directories everywhere!
It might just be me as I'm a bit obsessive about making things tidy, is there anyway to get it installed 100% in a folder titled 'tomtom' on the SD card? |

You cant tidy the folders up and put them in a single, it just simply won't work on the sd you should have four folders, Great Britain map, voices, zip and tomtom. It will also create t e navigator folder in the programs directory, Mike |

I installed 5.21 over 5.10 and it put navigator.exe in main memory rather than on the storage card where I told it to. I dragged it there and it works fine.
I also now have a new and empty "TomTom TomTom" folder on the storage card.
I tried moving itn, schemes, and TomTom\sdkregistry and that does screw things up. I do not have the other folders mentioned. |

It all depends on the type of product you purchased, if it was full Europe then you will get the folders I mentioned in the earlier post (voices must be created by the user and the tomtom folder is also created by the user unless you install the 5,2 update - it does this for you). If its a pre-loaded SD card then 2577 and the license etc will be in there to -SDK Reg etc will be there if you play with the menu or load the excellent POICapture utility from this site (highly recommended) Mike |

I very much doubt that. TomTom, like any other navigation product vendor, think that they OWN your Pocket PC. They cannot fathom that there would be other programs around that might also need an ITN folder.
At least you can install TomTom mostly to storage card. Other programs are much worse, and force themselves into Main memory, no matter how little space you have left there. _________________ Lutz
