Good idea, i had much the same idea when i first saw they were testing RSS. I think they are limiting the amount of feeds until they can establish who it might affect their system.

I reckon an RSS feed reader would be very useful, the trouble is that I know absolutely nothing about them. Embarassed

So, can anybody recommend a good but free RSS feed reader that works with Windows 2000 and XP that is easy to use and even easier to install? Thumbs Up

Regards,

Hi
I am using Feedreader which you can download for free. The web site is:-
http://www.feedreader.com/.

It is easy to set up and use. If you also get a link into pricedash.com you can get all sorts of discount vouchers for shopping.

Enjoy

Firefox seems to work for me. What problems are you having?

The "trick" might be to open the bookmarks manager and go to File > New Live Bookmark - because your URL doesn't have the RDF extension, it may not recognise it as an RSS feed at first - or possibly the page is not sending the correct MIME type for the file.

Nick...

cheers, i was having the same problems!!

So how do you setup a link with it to this site. All I'm getting is site found but internet address you supplied does not contain feed subscription information.

For the pocket pc i use PocketRSS which works great and costs only $5.95 from Handango. It syncs using a wifi connection or any other internet connection.

or for free you can use RSS Sync which is an active sync plug in from

I would be interested to know how the RSS feeds were created? Is there some software you use to automatically create them?

The RSS feeds are a plug-in for the phpbb forums. I modified the forum code to automatically generate the feed setup for each forum.

Hi, I am using "Active Web Reader" to read the RSS feeds, it is easy to use and install, and it is a free programme.

I use google mail and one feature is too customise your google home page and you can add RSS feeds. This is a free service and updates me everytime I load google.

Thanks for RSS

You will need RSS reader software installed on the PC or PPC and use the orange buttons on the main site forum index to find the feed codes, I only use it on the Exec via an application called News Break - it works a treat - Mike
