i3 hints and tips

There doesn't appear to be a comprehensive user guide for the i3, and given how many of us now have this unit I thought It might be useful to have a hints,tips,shortcuts thread to post your finds.

Personally, I would like to know if it is possible to alter the display when in navigation mode to show my current speed.

Anyway, here's my how-to:

To set a current position as a favourite (useful if you often go to the same address and the i3 is slightly out):
Hold down the wheel button for a few seconds at the current location. This will ask if you want to save as a favourite. Once saved it can be renamed.

To clarify, the above has to be done whilst in map mode, not navigation mode.
