How do I remove Outlook data?

I'm selling my Compaq Ipaq H3850. Can anyone tell me how to remove all my personal data from it (ie all the Outlook stuff) but leave other programs and stuff untouched?

I'd argue that the best thing to do is hard reset it - and ship it with the battery left disconnected, unless you're giving it to someone else.



That will return it to the kind of state it was in when you got it.





Firstly, if you have the Permanent PIM function on your iPAQ, disable it using the Settings screen.



Then, using File Explorer, delete everything in the iPAQ File Store.



Finally, remove all external power (including any expansion packs with batteries) and hold down the Calendar and iTask buttons, then press the reset button with the stylus. The screen will fade out - say goodbye to your data!





At this stage, the internal battery is disconnected and that's the state I'd ship the unit in. To wake it up again, either apply external power, or poke the reset hole with the stylus.
