Nino 300 - too old?

I'm on the verge of shopping for a compact flash gps. I have an old Philips Nino 300 with Windows CE 2.0. Will I be able to use GPS at all with this?

I can't think you're going to find any usable software now for a CE 2.0 device. CE 2.1 software is all but unfindable now.



For in-car navigation, you're going to need a more modern device. You could check out the Dell Axim X5 (the 400MHz model is probably better for navigation) or the new iPAQ 2210, with just one warning - (Windows Mobile for) Pocket PC 2003 is still so new that there may well be a few software compatibility glitches to be sorted out.

You won't find anything that will support CE 2.0. CE 3.0 (Palmsize PC) with MIPS processors are supported by a few companies, but that's getting a bit long in the tooth now.
