Voice alerts

Help please I have just bought a Tomtom 500 and installed the Speed camera POIs, then I have downloaded and installed the new voices but the voices do not work, what am I doing wrong. The App. version I am using is 5.2091 and the voice file I downloaded and installed is 5252_new.data.chk Recovered File Fragments 1,126 KB.
I have renamed the original data.chk file and renamed the new one as instructed. Any help would be appreciated. By the way I am not very clued up with these things as you can probely guess.

YOu have to go to the Preferences on the GO and "manage POI". Then "Warn when Near POI"

I have done that but there is no voices only bells in the sounds

YOU NEED TO REMOVE A FILE AND RENAME THE NEW ONE TO GO IN ITS PLACE

THEN IT WILL WORK FINE WORKS LIKE A DREAM ON MY 500

BUT DOES YOUR HEAD IN AFTER A WHILE
