Haicom BT-401 with Haicom HI-303III

Dave Burrows' review (published nearly 18 months ago) of the Haicom BT-401 Slipper and its use with the HI-303MMF, HI-303S and HI-303E recievers, was a very interesting read.

I am trying to put his findings in context with the newer HI-303III receiver. In particular, Dave states that the chipset in the HI-303MMF is more energy efficient than the others he examined and allows greater battery life from the BT-401, but how does the chipset in the newer HI-303III stack up? Should I try and buy a BT-401/HI-303MMF combination (even though this is fast becoming out of date) or should I go for a BT-401/HI-303III combination that is becoming more widely available.

Haicom do not readily make the chipset details available on their website specifications, so I am looking elsewhere for some guidance - maybe even from Dave himself?
