Compaq iNS/CoPilot 3.5/LiveWire or Live?

I'm a current iNS (1.2) user and would like to upgrade. Can someone please shed some light on which version I should go for.

CoPilot 3.5 UK Live and LiveWire Navigation Edition? or CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 4? What are the differences between these 2 versions and does CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 4 require a subscription?

Okay, there's suttle differences here, and this is a good question I suspect a lot of 3.5 users will ask.



You currently have

• Compaq iNS
• CoPilot 3.5 UK/Euro
• CoPilot 3.5 UK/Euro LiveWire
• CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 4

Now, iNS was basically the earlier version of 3.5 UK. LiveWire is an add-on to iNS and 3.5 which gives you Live Traffic Routing providing you're using a GPRS connected GSM phone. Unfortunately (and I hope I don't insult too many LiveWire users, but it was basically a large beta).



CoPilot Live goes away from LiveWire, and has a Live facility where you can have both your PC and Mobile connected in different locations via the internet, and you can not only send messages from your PC but also send re-route information to the Pocket PC. Now there will be traffic options in Live like LiveWire, but it won't be LiveWire, it will be written from the ground up and hopefully added support from the mobile operators. This will come a little later, and will be a subscription based service AFAIK.



So it really depends on whether you want mobile traffic news now on an older version of the maps and software, or are prepared to wait but have the latest version of the maps and software.
