GPSAssist Functionality/Features

I downloaded GPSAssist a couple of nights ago, and here is an edited copy of the message I sent to their support Email address but as yet have had no response:



It has crashed twice (my first day of use, but again on the second day) but perhaps more importantly, I have a few points to make.



1:    The Visualisation/Visually indicate nearest POI option obscures the TomTom Navigator toolbar at the bottom of the screen - it's desirable to have access to the title bar in order to check File-GPS Status (& access the 'Tools' menu).



2:    The Visualisation/Automatic Night colours appears to have a shortcoming; I live in the UK, and as my Regional Settings specify a date format of DD/MM/YY GPSAssist thinks it's March here, so I can't see how this feature will work properly with these settings. I actually prefer the 'US' date format of MM/DD/YY but I can't really change my Regional Settings to use it here as it would be too confusing.



3:    Although selected, the 'Popup Speed Limit Warning' didn't work for me today (it has since, but I don't like this feature and won't use it, so not an issue for me).



4:    I believe the 'Default Warning Distances' need to work at *any* User-definable distance, not just at a maximum of 2000m - because when a User wants to be warned of a POI, even at large distances (yes, I would consider detouring a 'large' distance if travelling the country and find myself within, say, 60 miles of a POI I didn't realise I was anywhere near but would like to visit).



Overall, an really good product, which for me, would be truly outstanding if I could have the improvements/fixes detailed above - I would definitely buy it and future upgrades if these were implemented. Any chance of these as the software is developed?



And if I've misunderstood any functionality...... Please let me know
