Smartphone C500 and Polstar PBT-111 GPS Reciever

Hi Guys

Should I be able to get a C500 Smartphone and a Polestar PBT-111 GPS receiver to work together with TomTom Mobile 5, and is there anything in the setup that I should be aware of. All I am getting at the present time is 'no GPS Device' on the tomtom intro page, if i connect my Tomtom GPS receiver, I get a signal straight away.

Any help would be appreciated
