I am a first buyer of both GPS software and hardware. My PDA is an FS Pocket Loox.

I have decided to go for the TomTom Navigation 2 software since it's the only one which have a map that covers Norway and not only our capital.

To ease the installation in my car and be able to use it when I am walking I have decided to get an bluetooth GPS receiver.

But, which brand:

Should I wait for the new TomTom Bluetooth GPS receiver?

Here in Norway I can get both the Socket GPS (same store in UK) and eMagic GPS which seem to be the same product (emtac) but eMagic has more accesories (i.e. external antenna) included and it cost less money. Here in Norway I can get the Socket GPS for £335 and the eMagic for £260.

Does anyone have any experience with these two products and in combination with TomTom Nav 2 software?

Thanks

I am using a Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox with Tom Tom Nav 2.05 and an Emtac BT GPS and the combination works extremely well. I can't fault the operation of the Emtac BT GPS and FS Pocket Loox.

I've got the external aerial for the Emtac but have never needed to use it yet.

Global Positioning Systems have the Emtac BTGPS for £222.99 inc VAT.
