Hi guys (and ladies Wink ),

I have a little problem here with my GPSlim 236 and Navigon MN 5.
The position on screen jumps quite a lot when navigating and I read that one possible solution could be to enable the VTG sentence in the NMEA protocol.

So I started Cruxview and tried to change the NMEA protocol but it has no effect on the transmitted message from the GPSlim 236.

Which program can really change the transmitted NMEA protocol? Is there one for the PPC or only for PC ?

Problem solved!

I found someone to borrow an USB-Bluetooth-Stick from and changed the NMEA protocol with SirfDemo on the PC.

Now the scrolling is smooth like a charm on the navigation display.

I see you have solved your problem, but just a quick note to say that there is a program called SirfTech which will allow you to change loads of things in your GPS.

Watch that you don't change the baud rate or your GPS won't work anymore.

Thanks for the info.

Have not seen that program before. Looks like SirfDemo for PPC, very powerfull but also dangerous when you don't know what you're doing.

So it's the perfect program for me Thumbs Up .
