In Built GPS With Bluetooth + Serial Out

Hi,

I'm looking to build my own satnav tracking system for my car, Some of the features are as follows:

SMS Location to defined number,
SMS location reply via Password (Reply to sending phone if PW correct)
Last Valid Position sent if no signal,
Listen in to cabin (Listen to the theif's)
Voice in to the cabin (warn the driver about impending ignition deactivation)
4 or so Outputs control by Text (Coil, Brakes, Lights/horn, spare)
Monitor of several circuits, Ignition, Alarm output,
Periodic checking of location (have I moved?)

Plus a few other features,

Now, what I'm looking for is a GPS receiver,

I would like a bluetooth receiver with a hard wired serial out as well, so that I can use TomTom with the receiver at the same time,

The receiver would need to be a 12 channel receiver and be good at getting a signal,

I will be using an external Active (I think it's active) antenna with built in GSM/PCN and AM/FM Aerial,

Anyone got any idea's?

Can I suggest the Holux Range of Bluetooth GPS Receivers.
We can offer you the GR230/231/236
You can use your GR-23x to connect directly to your PDA, laptop or desktop PC, in addition to using bluetooth.
This means that you can connect one device via cable to the GR-230 and simultaeneously to another device via bluetooth.
230 is a SiRF II Chipset
231 is a SiRF II Xtrac Chipset
236 is a SiRF III Chipset

They all have an active antenna connection to allow a MCX/MMCX (depending on model) Antenna to be plugged into them.
If you are planning to hide the antenna in the car somewhere, then I would definately suggest the latter, GR-236, or also known as GPSlim 236. Lately given a 99% rating by Pocketgps, the SiRF III definately makes a huge difference in terms of where you can position the receiver in the car!
