I have been searching for the best driver for the Rikaline X6 6021 after reading through these forums i have noticed some people using the Nmea 4800 driver and others using the rikaline 6010 driver i think I saw some one using the sirf 2 4800 driver but which one is the best as I find that my tomtom is constantly between 200 yards about 40 seconds behind where I actually am. I am using very few POI's like the speed cam and fuel stations nothing else.

1.Which driver should I use ?

2. Do I need to change to a faster SD card, The SD card I have is Dane-Elec 512 meg 0505-TM0952L Japan with the 101 meg UK map on it and that is all.

Thanks in advance for any help. Question

Use NMEA 4800, it seems to work much better than the laggy sirf protocol !!!

TBH Until a firmware upgrade is made available the 6021 leaves a lot to be desired, especially when compared to the equivalent sys on chip device !!!!
It is continuously worse at obtaining and retaining a signal !! and even when it has a signal it handles data less acurately, for example my friend and I both have a HP2210, side by side in the same vehicle his sys on chip device was consistently better. Just as an example Simple things like stopping at lights would see my speedo take nearly 10 secs to reach 0MPH where as his always does it in 3 secs.

X6, TT2 and iPaq 2210 - Owned and working for the past 14 months!

But it just stopped working on the M6 today!

In trying to get it going it doesnt look like it is searching for its satellites. The little scrolling dots don't scroll!

Actually they do occasionally but only for about 30 seconds and then it hangs.

Any ideas on where the fault is, software or hardware.

I've got feeling it is the receiver as it doesn't matter what settings I try it alway acts the same.

It is just a that I need it this week of lots of customer and installer visits.

Do I need to order another one quick?
