After a lot of investigation, I can confirm that Destinator PN DOES support TMC in the UK (Tested and works!). The software is very good overall.

If Destinator can support it, then why cant Navigon?

Navigon have not reached an agreement with ITIS over the license costs.

The longer this goes on the less likley they will get it sorted out.

I questioned the performance of TMC (and the unreliability of it locking onto different stations etc) with Navigon Support and their reply has given me more cause for concern than I previously had !! They said that the provider of the TMC signals is about to change the amount of signals and the tolls for it and that there may only be tollfree signals for the motorways in the near future in the UK, although they did say they could not confirm either point at the moment. They said their module only receives tollfree traffic information. Everything that is not tollfree, will not be received by the module - my response was that anything that is not tollfree causes the TMC software to sit on that station !

I'll let you know the reponse.

Interesting ....... Although I personally don't believe a thing Navigon says anymore - if this comes from another source then it will have some credibility.
