mitac mio 168 trying to connect to the web

the battery died on mio recently and after i installed my software back onto it ive noticed that every 30 seconds or so a pop-up message appears and says "unable to connect: you have no modem entries created and no network card present". becuase it keeps popping up its puts me off using the damn thing. it only stops when i insert my wi-fi card into it. didnt have any problems before can anyone help ? i always make sure its in flight mode after ive used the wi-fi card so im at a loss what to do.

See if ActiveSync is set to synchronize on a schedule. That can be the culprit.

thanks but ive set that to manual and it was still doing it. i have since done a hard reset and installed my stuff back on and it seems fine now cheers.
