Destinator 2 new version functionality? (Auto detect GPS)

Hi everyone,

I (still!) have Destinator 2.

Sometime back I had downloaded a patch from Destinator’s support website and installed Destinator 2 using that. It gave me a new version of Destinator 2. It had some new functionality as listed below:

1. It autodetected the GPS.
I mean… if you disconnect the GPS cable to the iPaq, and after some time re-connect the cable again… the Destinator 2 software would automatically detect the GPS and start working properly without re-starting the program. This is really what I was looking for in Destinator for a long time!

2. A couple of changes in the GUI:
The Menu > Favorites was spelt as “Favourites”
The Menu > Zip > City was changed to Postal Code > City
The settings screen was changed.

Recently I had to hard reset my iPaq and subsequently had to re-install Destinator 2. I thought of downloading the latest patch from destinator so I first deleted my old download and I downloaded the patch from Destinator's support site where it says:-
CLICK HERE to download the patch for Destinator 2.0.06F

When I Installed Destinator using this patch, the new functionality is not there anymore. Sad

I believe it was a new version of Destinator 2 which I downloaded some time back from their site.

I tried using the other patch available there...
CLICK HERE to download the patch for Destinator 2.1.15
...but that gave me some error that my CD was incompatible.

I am trying to contact Destinator support for this issue but they would not respond. I have sent them three e-mails, called them many times but no one picks up the phone. The answering machine is full so I cannot leave a message.

My Questions:
1. Has anyone experienced this new functionality?
2. How can I get that “new” functionality back? I guess I need those files again (which I fooolishly deleted, I used shift-delete)
