|

I've been looking at getting the Navigator 3 software (as 5 is due soon so it should be cheaper). But it doesn't sound like you can plan trips accross multi countries due to loading 1 map at a time. can anyone tell me if this is possible and how to do it (so when I get it I can plot it streight away). I will be going from the UK, through France + Belgium to Germany
Thanks for any help

It is not possible with TTN V3 and I don't think it will be possible in V5 either, unless you get a GO700. (I could be wrong here, though.) _________________ Tim |

TTNav3 GB comes with MRE (Major Roads of Europe) as a secondary map. MRE covers Western Europe but not down to street level for all places. You can select the MRE map for the journey from one country to the next. When you’re in the final country just switch to that country’s map (if you bought Maps of Western Europe) and navigate to your destination.
Tim’s right, the recently announced TTGO 700 has full street mapping in one map.

Which begs the question of Tomtom:- As cross-border routing has been made available with the GO 700, will Tomtom also make it available as a software-only product or are they keeping it to their flagship model? _________________ Tim |

Hi there,
Just wondered if you are interested in this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=75327&item=5765940204&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
It is my auction on eBay for TomTom nav 3 maps of western europe, I got 2 copies of it for Christmas (after some confusion) and now I am selling one copy of them. They have only been opened once and NEVER been used or registered on the TomTom website (www.ttcode.com)
Price: £80
Hope they might be of some use to someone..
Cheers,
Keep up the good work,
Lydiachris
ps. I hope I havn't broken any forum rules by "advertising" the maps on your website. Just thought some people might want them for a good price thats all !!! |

No problem posting this, and if you post it in the For Sale/Wanted section you might get even more offers. _________________ Tim |

The way I have sucessfully navigated across countries is to select a point on the border of each country and store as a POI - then just Navigate to that point and then switch maps. MRE is ok until you hit a diversion. I also use Itineraries to aviod Peages - I find them a bit boring. ViaMichelin is a good site to plan the route.
Hope this helps,
Steve |
