I have just downloaded and installed the latest software from the Tomtom site and it all looks lovely except the postcode search. I cant work out how to insert a space, there is a full stop option which I have tried as well as trying to insert the postcode without any spaces and neither way works.
Am I being a bit dim???? Confused

I don't think the postcode search uses spaces. For instance, for RH10 9 you would type RH109.

Just to amplify . .

AIUI, the functionality for doing a full postcde search is built into v5 of the software - but the data to support it only comes with the updated maps - which you would need to buy.

To insert a space when typing the post code just press the blank light blue key at the bottom of the screen, it's the one that is 2nd from the left when you are on the numbers page.

as said above you dont need to enter a space in the postcode at all. They are actually listed as nr293sd and not nr29 3sd putting the space in on the postcode search will draw a blank.

Enter the postcode in the Search for Address Option. That accepts the space OK. As already mentioned, apologird for repeating but the 7 digit option in Search for Postcode doesn't accept space. Oh how much longer will tomtom take to produce the UK map upgrade on it's own on CD. Oops Sorry, now that's another thread. Evil or Very Mad

Change the keyboard preference to QWERTY and the layout inludes a standard space bar.
