What''s the real operation hrs you test?
Do you think 8 channel is the weakness of this reciever?

Initial tests show that the receiver indeed seems to last a good 20 hours.
Yes, the 8 channel chipset has its disadvantages, especially in dense foliage and urban canyons. 143 dB sensitivity is also not state of the art any more, the GlobalSat BT-338 goes down to 152 dB. (But the BT-338 has a much higher power consumption). The lower price is certainly an advantage of the Solar receiver.

It's acceptable for lower price to get one GPS!
However, does it work at basic GPS tracking function also mapping job!
