I was talking to them the other day, and they are still saying October, and still not saying Oct 1 or Oct 30.

I still haven't managed to get a pre-release version to review yet Crying or Very sad

Is there any indication as to whether the memory on this thing is via an SD card slot that is on the SD-502 or is it built in?

I am assuming that the memory will be accessible for the storage of data other than GPS.

Oh and not to be left out I will also ask the standard questions . . . . . . . any idea of price yet? or a specific release date?

The SD-502 has the memory built in to the device. This can be used in the same way as a normal SD card so anything can use it.

Price and availability are still to be confirmed. I might point out that we havent had any review samples from Taiwan yet so October may well be late October.

Thanks Mike, can't wait for the review. The SD502 is my only hope for ease of use GPS for my XDA2i. My only fear is battery life.

I couldn't believe that the XDA jacket has the CF slot in the bottom, not very useful when you need to point skywards for the satellites.

$169.99 at gogocity.com

What's that? about £100, so I suppose it will retail over here for about £120 to £170
