Before I finally decide what system to buy can anyone tell me does the EMTAC jacket really work through coated windscreens as stated on the CoPilot site or would I be better off with a Bluetooth receiver. I use 2 cars both with coated screens so dont think a RRA would help as it will always be in the wrong car.

Hmmm, not too sure about that statement, generally coated/UV windscreens will cause problems no matter what. You could always buy two re-rads ?

I've just bought Co-Pilot from Clove Technology and got a Co-Pilot external Antenna at the same time. It cost £29.00 + VAT for the antenna and at that price I would suggest you buy one for each car. I've been using it for two weeks now, including a couple of trips through central London and its only lost position twice (and one of those was in the Blackwall Tunnel !!). On both occasions it regained position within seconds of seeing clear sky.

It does seem to take a minute or two to sort itself out when I first switch it on during which time I am stationary. If I start driving before it gains its position, then I may as well give up (20 minutes and still nothing) unless I stop and let it sort itself out.

Other than that it is abslolutely brilliant, but I will say it's a tool for drivers, not geeks who like lots of gadgets, graphs, 3D views etc.
